Conférence du Professeur Yoko NIIYAMA intitulée "Risk Communication on Radioactive Substances in Food"

Le professeur Yoko NIIYAMA du département agriculture de l'université de Kyoto a conduit des recherches sur la gestion des risques nucléaires dans l'alimentation et la réorganisation des marchés des produits agricoles dans l'après Fukushima.

Elle a présidé la "Japanese risk society" ainsi que la "Japanese Agriculture Economic Society of Japan".

Yoko NIIYAMA is Professor at College of Economics, Ritsumeikan University and Emeritus professor of Kyoto University. She graduated from Faculty of Agriculture, Kyoto University and PhD in Kyoto University. Her main research fields are  food systems organisation and food safty. She is currently conducting the following research: 1) analysis of decision making process on constructing meal, 2) development of interactive risk communication model and its application to risk communication on health effects of radioactive substance in food, 3)  cross-cultural studies on public perceptions of food-related risks. She has also developed the method to analyze the structure of food systems and conducted comparative analysis of beef system with Japan, European countries, the United States. She has co-worked with Japanese Ministry of Agriculture to introduce traceability system in food chain.
